Doug Emhoff, the husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, made a whirlwind stop in Chicago on Wednesday to raise money for the Harris-Walz ticket ahead of the Democratic National Committee (DNC). Emhoff attended three private fundraisers in the city, showing his support for the Democratic ticket.
First, Emhoff spoke with donors at a private residence in the West Loop, where U.S. Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD) was reportedly in attendance. From there, he made his way to a high-rise building on Lake Shore Drive in North DuSable for another fundraiser. His final stop in Glencoe is expected to draw hundreds of supporters eager to hear his message near the synagogue.
Campaign Efforts in Wisconsin
Meanwhile, Milwaukee Mayor confirmed that Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Tim Walz will hold rallies in Wisconsin during the Democratic National Convention. Their presence in the swing state aims to capitalize on the momentum they have built, garnering support from key voters leading up to the election.
Emhoff will join his wife on a bus tour starting in Pennsylvania, eventually making their way to Chicago for the Democratic convention. This strategic campaign effort showcases the importance of key battleground states in securing a victory for the Democratic ticket.
