Elk Grove Village Man Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison for Exposing Himself at Water Park
Andrew Pusateri, a 39-year-old man from Elk Grove Village, has been sentenced to seven years in prison for aggravated sexual abuse and child pornography crimes in Illinois. The sentence was imposed by the state Department of Corrections after Pusateri agreed to a plea deal earlier this week.
Incident at Raging Waves Waterpark
In July 2023, Pusateri was caught by a lifeguard while lying on a raft in the lazy river at Raging Waves Waterpark in Yorkville. Yorkville detectives later discovered that Pusateri used a handheld camera to film minors at the waterpark.
Additional Investigations and Sentence
Further investigations revealed that Pusateri had made multiple trips to water parks and filmed similar videos at a water park in Elk Grove Village. Prosecutors stated that some of the videos showed Pusateri exposing himself and touching children inappropriately.
Kendall County State’s Attorney Eric Weiss commended the efforts of the staff at Frenzy and the detectives from the Yorkville Police Department for capturing Pusateri and ensuring that he is held accountable for his actions. Weiss emphasized that predators like Pusateri pose a significant danger to children and that the justice system will not tolerate such behavior.
Ultimately, Pusateri was sentenced by Judge Jody Gleason, who ensured that he will serve seven years in prison for his crimes.
