Charges filed against man accused of shooting 12-year-old in Chicago

Felony charges have been filed against Deandre Warren, an 18-year-old man from West Pullman, in connection with a shooting that left a 12-year-old boy injured in Chicago. Warren faces charges of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault with a firearm, and aggravated battery of a child under 13 with serious bodily injury, according to Chicago police.

The shooting allegedly took place in the 4500 block of South Drexel Avenue in Bronzeville late one evening. Warren was reported to have been at a home in the area when he pulled out a gun and shot the child multiple times before fleeing the scene.
