Severe Weather Postpones Wrigley Field Concert in Chicago
A concert featuring Def Leppard, Journey, and the Steve Miller Band at Wrigley Field in Chicago was postponed by an hour due to the threat of severe weather spreading to the area. Originally scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m., the show will now begin at 4:30 p.m. as a round of storms approaches.
Revised Schedule and Weather Concerns
Journey drummer Deen Castronovo shared the revised schedule, with the Steve Miller Band set to perform at 4:30 p.m., followed by Journey at 5:30 p.m., and Def Leppard at 7:15 p.m. The storm is expected to move through the Chicago area from northwest to southeast between 6 p.m. and 1 a.m.
Furthermore, areas in the storm’s path could experience damaging winds, 1 to 2 inches of rain, and the potential for tornadoes. This comes on the heels of recent severe weather in Chicago, including strong winds and heavy rainfall, as well as three EF-0 tornadoes that touched down in the area.
Stay Informed and Stay Safe
As the weather situation evolves, it is essential for concert-goers and residents in the Chicago area to stay informed about any updates and warnings from the National Weather Service. Being prepared and taking necessary precautions can help ensure everyone’s safety during the storm. Be sure to follow local news and weather updates to stay ahead of any potential risks.
