CHICAGO — A person tragically died on Thursday after being rescued from Lake Michigan near the Adler Planetarium. Emergency crews quickly responded to the 1300 block of South DuSable Lake Shore Drive around 1:30 Wednesday afternoon.

The rescue operation successfully saved the two individuals, with one man being conscious and alert during the rescue.
